10-28-05: Halloween Special 2

It’s the Super Mario gang! Wait...is it?

I spent a LOT of time on this one. I worked on it here and there all month. -_- I have no idea how so many artists work so fast. I forgot to include the characters’ shadows (duh!), so I’ll be revising this work sometime.

Anyway, this artwork was done as a Halloween Special for the webcomic. I’m submitting it to DA in the form of a 1600x1200 wallpaper (I like good resolution). It’s a big file size, so it might take a little while for slower computers.

The characters from left to right are Lute, Chastalynd, Princess Miara, Shali, and BookMaster’s just kinda thrown in there. (Run, me! Run!) For clarification, Chast is a Drow (dark elf) and Shali is a Genie. All are characters from the webcomic, though only Lute and BM have made official appearances in the strip so far.

-Mech pencil and eraser
-Patience
-Adobe Illustrator for the dialogue
-More Patience
-Adobe Photoshop for refining and coloring
-A whole lot more patience
-Time that should have been spent in study :-/
